In November 2020, the national league of democracy party won Myanmar general election by 396 seats and military’s proxy party called, “The Union Solitary and Development Party”, won only 33 seats out of 476. Myanmar Army automatically disagreed with the election result. The military denied the election result saying that there was fraud in the electoral votes. They then tried to impose a military coup. In the first week of February, Myanmar All Civil Party leader announced to take raid in the early morning to protest again this military coup. On the same day at early morning around 3 am, numerous communication channels stopped phone line services to the capital. MRTV faced technical issues for broadcasting. All Myanmar banks suspended their financial services under the Myanmar banking association. All 400 elected members of parliament were also arrested from their house. Myanmar military then declared a state emergency for one year. The military charged Aung San Suu Kyi for illegally importing walkie talkies. Doctor and Health denied working under the military. Myanmar people also started the protest against the military. Previously the Myanmar military coups happened twice, from 1962 to 1988 and 1988 to 2011. In 2011 the first general election happened in Myanmar. Since then the country started to grow-up socially and economically.

It will also directly affect corporate, import-export, FDI, FII, etc. It’s also impacting on neighbour countries like India, Thailand and Bangladesh, etc. Due to the linking of neighbouring countries like Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Nepal through the railways, it’s also impacting on ASEAN countries as Myanmar is a member of this association.
