  1. Lalbagh Botanical Garden: This botanical garden was built in the 18th Century by Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan. The ‘garden’ is spread over an area of 24 hectares and also has a glasshouse and a lake inside it. It is open from 6 am to 6 pm. One can get to see rare plants of French, Afghan, and Persian origin. Annual flower exhibition is also held every year and has numerous birds like Common Egret, Pond Heron, Myna, Parakeets, Purple Moon Hen, etc. 

2) Bangalore Palace: This beautiful palace was constructed in 1878 by Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar. It is spread, over an area of 454 acres. Its built-in ‘Tudor’ architecture style with towers and turrets. There are a total of 35 rooms inside the palace along with a swimming pool. The entry fee for Indians is Rs 230 and Rs 460 for foreigners. Today it has become Bangalore’s topmost visited tourist place which also hosts events, shows, and marriages. The palace was inspired by the Windsor Castle of London. 

3) Innovative Film City: If you are a movie geek then Innovative Film City is the best place to visit. It was inaugurated in 2008 and is spread across 50 acres. There is a various range of facilities like entertainment district, amphitheater, and food court. The Aqua Kingdom, Cartoon City, 4D Theater, G0-Karting, Louis Tussaud’s Wax Museum are some of the other popular places to visit in IFC. Its open from 10 am to 7 pm. 

4) Cubbon Park: Cubbon Park is an ideal place to spend time in nature and relax. It is spread across 300 acres and is home to more than 6000 trees. Cubbon Park Museum, Attara Kacheri, and Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Park are located on the premises of the park. The aquarium established in 1983 is one of the popular places in Cubbon Park. The first floor has 14 water tanks and its second floor has 69 water tanks. Tourists can get to see freshwater pawns, blue gourami, goldfish, glowlight tetra, Indian tiger barb, mahseer, pearl gourami, etc. The aquarium is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm. The best way to explore the park is by Putani Express. It’s the toy train that takes the visitors through the park. Children and adults both can ride this train.
